Aims & Objectives

“Driving change, and shaping the future for the better”

Through these aims and objectives, Caribbean Voices for Labour will be a driving force for progress, ensuring the Caribbean community is heard, respected, and empowered in society.

Aims

  • Empower the Caribbean Community: We aim to amplify the voices of Caribbean people, ensuring that their perspectives are represented in key discussions and decisions that affect their lives. We are committed to promoting equality, social justice, and inclusion, working towards a society where Caribbean communities can thrive.
  • Advocate for Social Justice and Workers’ Rights: We seek to champion the rights of workers across the Caribbean and beyond, promoting fair wages, safe working conditions, and equitable opportunities. Our goal is to ensure that Caribbean communities are fairly represented in Labour movements and have a strong voice in shaping policies that impact their livelihoods.
  • Promote Community Well-being: We strive to improve access to essential services such as quality education, healthcare, and environmental sustainability. By focusing on these areas, we aim to uplift Caribbean people and foster long-term growth and prosperity in our communities.

Objectives

  • Create Platforms for Dialogue and Engagement: We will establish forums, workshops, and events that provide Caribbean communities with opportunities to engage in meaningful discussions about the issues that matter most—such as workers’ rights, education, healthcare, and the environment. These platforms will allow us to amplify the voices of the Caribbean community within Labour movements and broader society.
  • Strengthen Advocacy for Equality and Inclusion: Through campaigns and partnerships, we will advocate for policies that advance social justice and create a more inclusive society. This includes pushing for greater diversity, representation, and accessibility for Caribbean people across all sectors of society.
  • Build Stronger Connections within the United Kingdom and the Caribbean: We will forge alliances with global Labour movements, policymakers, and organisations that share our commitment to equality and justice. These connections will help strengthen our ability to address issues impacting the Caribbean community and foster collaborative efforts for positive change.
  • Empower Future Generations: By investing in education and leadership development, we will nurture the next generation of Caribbean leaders who can drive positive change in their communities and contribute to a more just and equitable society.

Through these aims and objectives, Caribbean Voices for Labour will be a driving force for progress, ensuring the Caribbean community is heard, respected, and empowered in society
